Authentic skincare, chosen one product at a time
House of BKN is a curation house, not a laboratory. We don’t make our own creams. We find the ones that work, buy them through channels we can verify, and put them on our shelves in Bonabassem. Everything has to earn its place, whatever your skin type.

Why we curate
We would rather stock less and know every bottle
The skincare market here is crowded, and a great deal of what circulates is counterfeit, expired or repackaged. Stocking hundreds of products would make that impossible to police. So we hold four categories and a handful of proven names in each: body lotions, body wash, facial moisturisers and facial serums.
Everything on the shelf has been bought from an authorised distributor, checked batch by batch against the manufacturer’s coding, and used by someone on our team for at least four weeks before it goes on sale. If it doesn’t hold up in daily use, it doesn’t make the list.
Authorised supply only
No grey-market pallets, no unnamed resellers. Every line has an invoice trail.
Batch and expiry checked
We record batch codes and shelf life for each delivery and rotate stock weekly.
Tested in real use
If a cream pills, clogs or separates in real use, it never reaches the shelf.
Honest advice
We will tell you when a cheaper product is the better fit, or when you need a dermatologist rather than a cream.

Four checks before anything goes on sale

Vet the brand
We look at formulation history, regulatory registration and how the brand handles counterfeits before we approach a distributor.

Verify the supply route
We buy from the manufacturer’s authorised distributor for Central Africa or an equivalent verifiable channel, and keep the paperwork.

Use it ourselves first
Four weeks minimum, on real skin. We check how it wears under sunscreen, whether it pills, and how it behaves once the bottle has been open a while.

Stock, rotate, review
Weekly stock rotation, batch logging, and continuous customer feedback. Products that stop performing get delisted.
Who we serve
Every skin type, honestly advised
Oily, dry, combination, sensitive, or some of each depending on the month. Most people don’t fit neatly into one box, and a shelf that only suits one kind of skin isn’t much use to anyone. So the selection covers the range: light gel-creams and fluid emulsions for skin that runs oily, richer barrier creams for skin that runs dry, and fragrance-free options for skin that reacts to almost everything.
Pigmentation and dark marks are the single most common thing people come to us about. They respond far better to gentle, consistent care and daily sunscreen than to aggressive bleaching agents, which we don’t sell and won’t recommend to anyone.
Authenticity over assortment
We would rather sell you one verified serum than five we cannot trace. Every product carries its batch record.
No bleaching, ever
We do not stock hydroquinone-based lightening products or unregulated skin-bleaching agents, whatever the demand.
Advice before sale
Our staff are trained on ingredients and interactions. A consultation in-store or on WhatsApp costs nothing.
